Today my fiance picked me up at 620. He drove us out to this rad spot. We climbed to the top of the coolies. He laid out a blanket, and we cuddled while watching the sunrise and sipping on freshly made coffee. He then proceeded to give me my birthday gift: a wonderfully crafted story of our journey thus far from his perspective. It was filled with loads of pictures and cute little commentaries. At the end he said, he can’t wait to fill this with every year that passes by. So fantastic. I am blessed.
Ours is a word that brings me great joy. Used in the context of the future I cannot help but blissfully ponder its path. Hand in hand we walk towards something grand. A life together. A unity worth fighting for. My heart beats for you, this I know to be true. Purely pursuing, ours brings great promises entrusted by the King. Above all, ours is an offering to the kingdom. We lay it all down at your feet. Ours is a love wasted at your feet.

Patient anticipation for this voyage we call life. Stumbling blocks beneath our feet we press on. Worldly thoughts surround us and perplexed by our pursuit of the kingdom, hinderances fall and we rise up. A firm foundation, unshakable in its frame, we stand stall. Hand in hand we cry out, thy kingdom come. Our vision, let thy will be done. Our banner, as iron sharpens iron.

When people keep telling me we should tie the knot right now because they find great joy at the thought of us being together and being power houses for the kingdom, I can’t help but get excited. Please dear God give me great patience, Amen.
The thought of the future is secondary to right now, but often it seems to consume us. We look ahead at what’s to come and our present life languishes. We run full speed ahead to the next pit stop, missing the little things along the way.Our feet become tired, calloused from unsteady ground. All we have to do is stop, and simply just be. Let’s fall down at his feet in worship. He has plans for us. Not just any plans either, he has good plans, prosperous plans. We are human beings, not human doings. I want to be. I want to rest. I want to fall down at his feet in worship.
Last night I forgot I had left my laundry in the washer all day and needed to put it in the dryer but it was 1130 at night and I am not allowed to put it in after 9. So I prayed God would silence the laundry so I would not disturb anyone. Long story short I put the laundry on for an hour and God being the radical guy he is finished the dryer in a half hour and all my clothes were completely dry how fantastic is that. I love how he cares about even the most mundane of things!! What a guy.
Simply the best day. Praise God for two months with you and a super fabtastic date to celebrate. Praise God for amazing friends and birthday celebrations. Praise God for rich and radical conversation with Dayna. Praise God for answered prayers.
Genesis 26: Finally, the whole tone of this chapter, indeed of Isaac’s whole life, is that he busies himself with the digging of wells. In the face of opposition, in the face of strife, in the face of trouble and turmoil: Isaac digs wells. Though there are those who would fill his wells with earth, though there are those who would try to steal the precious, life-giving water found beneath them: Isaac continues to dig wells. In good times and bad: Isaac digs wells.
When we consider that we have a Well ourselves, a Well that is the Lord Jesus Christ, filled with living waters (John 4:10), waters that we may drink of and never thirst again; we realize that our lives, too, are best spent with the patient digging into this Well. Digging deeper into the Well of His Word, coming to know Him better. Even when others would seek to steal the life-giving water that we find in Him (though no man can), even when others strive with us as we press on — digging ever deeper.
The digging of wells may not seem to be the most exciting of undertakings, in fact, we know that it takes a great deal of persistent effort. It can be back-breaking, exhausting, and downright heart-breaking when we have dug and dug and still failed to strike water. But Isaac is perhaps best known as a digger of wells. May we all be
This year I have learned to make myself truly available to works of the kingdom. Daily I see his hands moving. Excitement overwhelms me as I submit to his will. Fear of man no longer holds me captive, the shackles are broken. I rejoice in his great name.
